community first aid & life-saving training

Due to falling demand, we are no longer running regular sessions HOWEVER, if you are interested in taking part in training in life-saving training, please complete the form below. This may be for you as an individual or for a group or club (maximum 10 people). We will do our best to orgainise a session - or talk to you about borrowing our equipment to run your own training session.

Training lasts about 90 minutes, with plenty of time for questions and hands-on practice. We follow the community training syllabus provided by the British Heart Foundation, using individual mannikins (paid for by Haddenham & Waddesdon Community Board). Training is led by DVD instructors - with a knowledgable facilitator in attendance to answer any questions. We cover adult CPR, child CPR, and use of a public access defibrillator. Certificates are awarded when the training has been completed and follow-up information and answers to any out-standing questions will be emailed to participants a few days later.

CPR conventionally stands for ‘cardio-pulmonary resuscitation’. This community training is a simplified, user-friendly version of professional CPR training; hence the description used by the British Heart Foundation: CALL - PUSH - RESCUE! CALL for help. PUSH on the Chest. RESCUE!
