COMMITTED TO CHANGE? TRY JUST ONE THING
Read BCAG’s actions for change; practical suggestions that could really make a difference. These pieces also appeared in the Bernwode News and (usually) as a poster on the Parish Council noticeboard.

The Big Green Week in Brill : eco warriors - not eco worriers!
The Great Big Green Week is the UK’s biggest celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature. This year it took place between September 24th and October 2nd and BCAG was part of this celebration this year with our first Eco Café in the Memorial Hall on Sunday September 24th.
It was a relaxed event offering the opportunity have a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake and share ideas about how to tackle some of the big climate issues that face us today. We had ideas on plastic free alternatives, top tips on how to green up your money and investments, a clothing swap to help tackle fast fashion, how to darn and repair your jumpers, ideas on reducing food waste, ideas on how to save water, a look at using electric bikes, the importance of planting trees, and lots of books and magazines on green issues to look through for idea. The most important bit though was the opportunity to meet people and share ideas of how we can all work together to help solve the issue of climate change.
As part of the celebration Brill Primary School took part in The Big Green Week by writing letters to tomorrow expressing their hopes and dreams for the future. Read the children’s letters - and maybe write your own, too.
The issue of Climate Change is so huge, it can sometimes be over whelming. The idea behind Big Green Week is to celebrate the heartfelt, brave, everyday actions being taken to stand up for nature and fight climate change. All of us at BCAG enjoyed the event and hope those of you that came did too. We hope we will meet more of you in the future, especially as we do have exceedingly good cake! Thank you to all of you who share our ideas and remember to be and Eco Warrior and not an Eco Worrier!
